Both The CW’s The Vampire Diaries — despite letting loose with a real crowd-pleaser — and bubble show The Secret Circle dropped significantly this Thursday night upon returning from three-week breaks.
Tvd, with 2.18 million total viewers and a season-low 1.0 demo rating, was down 20 and 23 percent, respectively, while its companion show fell 36 and 29 percent to series lows of 1.11 mil and 0.5.
