‘Desperate Housewives’ Series Finale Was Way Too Depressing

After spending eight years with the women of Wisteria Lane, Desperate Housewives fans figured they'd be reaching for the tissues during the show's May 13 series finale. But instead of getting the warm, satisfying ending they'd hoped for, viewers watched in disappointment as four seemingly life-long friends — Susan (Teri Hatcher), Gaby (Eva Longoria), Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Bree (Marcia Cross) – parted ways, never to see each other again.
